How To Take Care of Leather Seats

2018 Jaguar XJ Interior Rear Seats

If there are some marks on your seating of your luxury vehicle or some light dust, there are some measures you can take to clean this yourself. Many Jaguar models like the Jaguar XF interior come with standard or available leather seats. To keep your seats in the best possible shape, however, we recommend using a Jaguar approved leather cleaner a few times a year on your Jaguar model.

What Cleaning Supplies Should Be Used?

It’s recommended that you use a simple, non-colored, damp rag for a light dusting. For a deeper wash, use warmer water and a tiny bit of soap. There is also a Jaguar leather cleaner noted in your Jaguar’s manual. After cleaning your seats, be sure to apply a leather conditioner to keep your seats protected. This can be found at most stores around Staten Island. Some things to stay away from when cleaning and caring your leather seats are:

  • Detergents
  • Furniture polish
  • Household cleaner
  • Dark cloths
  • Sharp objects that may scratch
