The Differences Between The 2015 Jaguar XJ Models

2015 Jaguar XJOne of the best things about choosing a Jaguar is all the options that are available on every model. Between  packages, trims, and even wheelbases, Jaguar ensures that each of their vehicles can suit the needs of any driver. Take the 2015 Jaguar XJ; not only does it come in four different trims, but Freeport drivers will find two wholly different wheelbases, each with a slightly different array of capabilities, options, and price. Let’s take a closer look.

The 2015 Jaguar XJ Standard Wheelbase vs. the Long Wheelbase

Being the flagship sedan for a luxury brand like Jaguar isn’t easy, but the Jaguar XJ exceeds expectations. Under the hood of your standard wheelbase model sits a 3.0L Supercharged V6 engine that produces 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. Innovative induction technologies deliver efficiency and power at a moment’s notice, making the  Jaguar XJ always ready to pounce. Couple that engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission that makes shifting gears almost imperceptible, and you get a ride  that thrills and comforts at the same time. Luxurious standard features like keyless entry and start, an 8-inch color touchscreen display, and navigation system round out the experience.

The long wheelbase version of the 2015 Jaguar XJL also run on the Supercharged V6, but have a few distinct  differences. The most obvious divergence between the two is the length; the long wheelbase model grants five extra inches of legroom for the backseats.  This provides not only comfort, but luxury, as the long wheelbase models come  standard with the Portfolio interior trim (optional on the standard wheelbase)  that includes power front seats, soft-grain leather, premium Suedecloth headrest material, and front- and backseat heating and cooling.

Trim options for both models include the standard XJ, XJ AWD, XJ Supercharged, and XJR, which all include their own additions and features to further customize your new Jaguar experience.
