2016 Jaguar XF
With the new 2016 Jaguar XF, the great luxury car company offers up an aluminum-based mid-size luxury sport sedan that’s more lightweight and high-tech than ever. Added to the already fantastic menu of Jaguar cars here at Jaguar Freeport, this one doesn’t skimp on the style, performance, or comfort. Considering drivers are sure to want to know more about this car, we at Jaguar Freeport thought we’d do a round-up of the latest 2016 Jaguar XF reviews and see what the critics have to say.

What the Experts Say about the 2016 XF

The highly respected Car and Driver begins its review by praising the 2016 Jaguar XF’s increased wheelbase size. Yielding more seat room, they recognize this as “a welcome development.” Edmunds.com writes that the XF’s “lighter weight should make for better fuel economy and handling ability,” and lists this under the new XF’s pros.

Edmunds also praises the 2016 XF’s exterior as boasting a “better aerodynamic shape” and recognizes its six-cylinder engine as “more efficient.” This 3.0L supercharged V6 puts out 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, and Edmunds comments that it “pairs well” with the eight-speed automatic transmission.

Car and Driver mentions the XF’s all-new 10.2-inch touchscreen, the InControl Touch Pro, describing it as an improvement over Jaguar’s previous touch-screen interface. This exceptional tech feature gets you “faster-acting solid-state drive (SSD) map storage, a quad-core processor, and internet based features”-some pretty remarkable high-tech tweaks to the XF formula. Edmunds, as well, lauds the XF’s safety and connectivity technology, filing it under “pro.” Safety and connectivity features include lane-departure warning (LDW), drowsy driver alert, and a traffic sign recognition software that changes cruise control based on speed limits.

Motor Tend, paraphrasing Jaguar vehicle line director Ian Hoban, says that “the new XF has a best-in-class rear seat package, and equals the best in class in terms of trunk space.” Edmunds adds that “[t]hose in snowy and slippery climates will appreciate the new All-Surface Progress Control.”
